NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD & PUBLIC HEARING
Shelby Urban County – Program Year 2024 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER)
Pursuant to U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development regulations, notice is hereby given by the Shelby County Commission that a public hearing will be held to solicit citizen input on the Program Year 2024 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER). The CAPER documents the progress of all projects and activities as outlined in the Consolidated and Action Plans and the expenditure of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
A 15-day notice is hereby given for a minimum 15-day public comment period and public hearing. The public comment period shall occur November 19, 2025, through December 5, 2025. The Shelby County Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in Room 104 of the Shelby County Administration Building, 200 West College Street, Columbiana, AL 35051.
This Report is available for review until the public hearing on December 22, 2025, during regular business hours of Monday through Friday (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), at the Shelby County Department of Development Services located at 1123 County Services Drive, Pelham, AL 35124. This Report is also available for review online at https://shelbyal.com/urbancounty.
Written comments will be accepted through December 5, 2025, either in person, by mail, or via email to cdbg@shelbyal.com. A written response will be provided within 15 business days to all written comments received. For additional information, please call 205-620-6650.
