Alabama's longest free flowing river supports 135 different species of fish -- more than any river of comparable size in North America. It is ideal for canoeing, fishing and exploring.

With water flowing through portions of eight counties Jefferson, St. Clair, Shelby, Bibb, Perry, Dallas, and small portions of Tuscaloosa and Chilton, the watershed covers an area of 1,870 square miles with a length of 190 miles.
