00 11 00 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for RUNWAY 16/34 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE, to be constructed for SHELBY COUNTY COMMISSION will be received at the office of the SHELBY COUNTY COMMISSION and addressed to the County Managers office at 200 West College Street, Room 123, Columbiana, AL 35051 until 2:00PM of March 28th, at which time the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud.
An OPTIONAL Pre-Bid Conference will be held by Garver virtually via Microsoft Teams at 10:00AM of March 21st. Bidders are responsible for contacting the designated Garver Project Manager (Will Haley) at WUHaley@GarverUSA.com to attain a link to join the virtual meeting.
The Project includes but is not limited to site preparation, joint & crack repair, paint & rubber removal, and the application of pavement markings.
Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.

These documents may be downloaded by selecting this Project from the “Plan Room” link, and by entering Quest Project Number 8958856 on the “Browse Projects” page. Documents can be examined at Garver’s office, 5125-A Research Drive, Huntsville, AL 35805, or at the Shelby County Airport, 265 Weathervane Road, Calera, AL 35040. Addendums to the bid package will be issued through the Garver online Plan Holders List; therefore, all Bidders shall be responsible for downloading the bid documents from the Garver online plan room in order to be included in the Plan Holders List. Bidders must enter the addenda numbers in the Proposal to verify receipt.
Bids shall be accompanied by a bid security in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in accordance with the Contract Documents.
Bidders must be licensed to perform work within the state of Alabama.
Bids must remain in effect for 90 days after the bid opening date. Within 90 days from the bid date, the Owner may award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder or reject any or all Bids for the Project.
The SHELBY COUNTY COMMISSION reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive the pre-bid meeting, and/or to waive irregularities in the Bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of the SHELBY COUNTY COMMISSION, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids.
