The floors are all epoxy coated and should just be protected during work. The same for the walls. They are painted sheetrock and should be protected during work. Any damage to either the flooring or walls shall be subsidiary to the project work. (See project manual Section 00- 1020, Page 2, Note 14) Special attention should also be given to moving and storage of existing office furniture and equipment for work to be executed in the building as described in the demolition notes on plan sheet M1. Office furniture can remain in the work area; however, all items shall be protected during work. If any items are required to be within the building or removed from the building to allow work, it shall be the responsibility of the contractor to move and store those items.

Q3: Does the County want to take possession of any of the demolitioned materials or equipment?
A3: All demolitioned materials and equipment shall be the responsibility of the contractor to dispose of offsite with the exception of the LED light fixtures. The contractor shall remove the fixtures and notify the County upon removal and the County shall remove them from the site. The contractor shall exercise reasonable care in removing the LED fixtures such they are not damaged.
Q4: During construction will access be required in and out of the existing freezer unit and will it be required to remain operational at all times during construction?
A4: Yes, the freezer shall remain accessible and shall remain operational at all times. Access can be restricted for limited periods during the day as coordinated between the contractor and the building tenant (Shelby Humane).
Q5: Please provide contract information for possible sources that can supply the specified ceiling tiles. A5: See Plan sheet M4, note 4 and 5.
