Voucher & Receipt for Credit

Eligibility & the Credit Process

If you have moved to another state or county, sold a vehicle, or had a vehicle stolen or involved in an accident where your vehicle was deemed a total loss by your insurance carrier, you may be eligible for a voucher or receipt for credit

If the owner of a vehicle provides our office with proof within 12 months of a vehicle being sold, traded, stolen, or deemed a total loss, the license office will apply any remaining credit to the registration of a replacement vehicle. If the owner provides a valid registration for this vehicle from another county or state during this period then a check will be issued and mailed to the owner by the 20th of the following month. The owner must furnish the License Office with a current address to expedite delivery. A $2 fee will apply to all vouchers / credits issued.
