Community Emergency Response Teams
The Shelby County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) makes all efforts to protect the citizens in Shelby County. In lieu of this, the EMA is starting a new program called the Citizens Corps. Under that falls the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) or CERT Program.

We are proud to announce that the first CERT graduated on August 28, 2004. If you are interested in volunteering for this program, please fill out the CERT Application Form and you will be contacted.

Fire Ban Notice
Shelby County is under an Alabama Department of Environmental Management “no burn” order from May 1 through October 31. This regulation is to combat the formation of ground-level ozone, which has become a problem in our county.
