The Blood Rock 50 and 100 will likely be one of toughest ultras in the Southeast with over 44,000 ft of Elevation Change in the 100.
The Blood Rock 100 & 50 Mile Trail Race will be held the first weekend in December at Oak Mtn State Park, just south of Birmingham. This is Alabama's largest State Park at 10,000 Acres. The 100 course will be a 3 loops of a 34.2 mile course, with over 25,000 feet of Elevation Gain. The 50 mile will be 1 1/2 laps of the course. The 100 will start on Friday at noon. The 50 mile starts Saturday morning. In addition, there is a 55K and 25K Starting Saturday. View the website for full details. There will be a 44 hour cutoff for the 100, 22 hour cutoff for the 50.
