Cheryl Naugher, CPA 

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)  

Mrs. Naugher joined Shelby County in 2001 and spent 13 years as the Accounting Manager and rejoined in 2017 as the Chief Financial Officer. In the past, she was employed with the Shelby County Board of Education as an internal auditor for 7 years and Coordinator of Finance and Payroll for 3 years. Prior to this role, Mrs. Naugher spent 6 years as an accountant/auditor for two Public Accounting firms in the State of Alabama. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Shelby County Community Health Foundation.

Mrs. Naugher received a Bachelor of Science in Business/Accounting from the University of Montevallo and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the Alabama Society of CPA’s and the County Revenue Officers Association of Alabama.

Mrs. Naugher has been a resident of Shelby County for over 28 years. She is married to Bill Naugher and they have two children, Kirk and Hannah.
