Reginald (Reggie) N. Holloway
Manager of Community Services
Mr. Holloway serves as the Manager of Community Services, which ensures that the social, health, welfare, educational and economic development activities that are essential to the community are provided for in Shelby County. Additional duties include contract and grant administration, procuring federal and state grants; perform compliance audits and administrative actions with twenty-five plus entities performing contract services to the county. Mr. Holloway also manages the county cable television franchise agreements with three cable providers; and addresses conflicts between cable providers and customers, provides performance notices to cable providers. Mr. Holloway serves on many committees and Boards of Directors including: Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham, Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging; Shelby County Community Health Foundation, and Leadership Shelby County. Committees include: United Way of Central Alabama Planning and Initiatives Committee, and Metropolitan Birmingham Services for the Homeless now known as One Roof.
Mr. Holloway resides in Calera. He served in the United States Army where he was an officer in the Transportation Corps. Mr. Holloway is a graduate of Alabama A & M University, Huntsville, AL where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Urban Studies (Concentration in Social Planning); he holds a Master of Science Degree in Human Resources Management from Chapman University, Orange, California.
Reggie is married and has an adult daughter.
