Brian Wheeler

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Brian Wheeler joined the county as the Chief Financial Officer in May 2024, bringing over 20 years of experience in accounting and auditing. Prior to his role as CFO, he spent the past 20 years at the Alabama Department of Examiners of Public Accounts, where he specialized in auditing within the County Audit Division. Originally from the Birmingham area, he relocated to Baldwin County in 2012, where he worked as an Audit Manager overseeing the audits of various county agencies in Baldwin, Mobile, Washington, and Monroe counties.

Brian holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Marketing and Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He currently serves on the Alabaster Medical Clinic Board.
