Jesslan Wilson

Deputy County Manager

Jesslan Wilson joined the county as the Deputy County Manager in May 2024. Prior to her role at the county, Jesslan served as the Director of Economic Development at the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham, where she assisted municipalities and counties with economic development strategic planning and project development. She holds a BA in Political Science from Jacksonville State University and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and she is also a certified Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) through the National Development Council.

Jesslan and her husband became residents of Shelby County in 2024.
