Shelli Davis
Manager of Community Services
Shelli Davis serves as the Manager of Community Services for Shelby County. The Community Services Department's role is to connect the county's residents with services and activities that provide social, health, welfare, and volunteer opportunities essential to community well-being. These include but are not limited to: senior services; federal and state grant contract administration; compliance audits; and supervision of contractual agreements with local non-profit service providers.
Other functions are the management of the county cable television franchise agreements with cable providers; and addressing conflicts between cable companies and their customers, along with providing performance notices to cable providers. Community Services also advises the County Commission on designation of voting locations for federal and state elections.
Shelli has served on many committees and Boards of Directors including: Birmingham Regional Paratransit Consortium (dba ClasTran); Positive Maturity, Community of Hope Health Clinic Steering and Governance Committees; Supporting Family Initiatives, United Way Community Initiatives Committee and Alabama 11th Area of Community Action.
Ms. Davis resides in Shelby County and is a graduate of The University of Texas at Arlington where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the College of Communications (Journalism-Public Relations); and she holds a Master of Public Administration Degree from Troy University with an emphasis in Public Management. Shelli is a graduate of Leadership Shelby County, Class of 2016.
Shelli is married, has two adult daughters and enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, gardening, cooking and travel.
