Welcome
to the ShelbyCounty TimeSaver Renewal System, the easy
and convenient way for Shelby County residents to renew
their Alabama motor vehicle registration. You can complete
your renewal in a few simple steps. Be sure to have
the following ready before you begin:
- In
order to renew a vehicle tag through this system,
you must have received a renewal notice for this tag
from the Shelby County license office. If you did
not receive a notice with a Record Number, you cannot
use this system. In this case you will have to come
in to one of our offices to renew your tag.
- A
valid Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card. At this time,
we cannot accept other credit cards or debit card
transactions.
Timesaver
allows you to renew and pay for up to ten (10) registration
renewals with a single credit card transaction. You
will need to have tag and record numbers for each vehicle
ready before you begin.
A
fee of $2.00 will be added to your registration renewal.
This is the same amount charged for mail in renewals.
Please allow 5 business days to receive your decal /
tag by mail.
Past
Due renewals and renewals requiring a change of address
or other information cannot be processed through our
TimeSaver system. Please visit one of the 3 Shelby County
license offices to update your information and process
your renewal.

the following tag types cannot be renewed via the Internet:
| National
Guard |

Tips
for using the Timesaver Tag Renewal system:
To
move from page to page, you should use the navigation
buttons (ex. Continue, Yes, No, Cancel Transaction,
Pay Now, etc.) present on the web pages dependent on
what you want to do at that moment. Do
not use the Back button or arrow or the Refresh button
on your browser while in the Timesaver pages, as this
can cause unexpected results.
Also, all buttons are activated by a single click. You
do not have to "double click" buttons. Please
do not to click the "Submit Payment" button more than
once per transaction..
