PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING DATES
The following meeting dates and submission deadlines for
the 2006 regularly scheduled meetings of the Shelby County Planning Commission
were approved on October 17, 2005. Meetings are normally held at 7:00
p.m. in the Community Room of the Shelby County Services Building in Pelham
on the first and third Mondays of each month.
The time and place of the meetings are subject to change
without notice. Please call the Department of Development Services at
(205) 620-6650 for information. A work session is conducted prior to the
regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. All interested parties are invited to attend.
However, this work session is not a public hearing.
A complete application, including all necessary site plans,
subdivision plats, letter of description of zoning changes or variances,
and any other supplementary documentation or information must be submitted
prior to the date of the docket closing before an application will be
placed on a specific meeting agenda. Additionally, the applicant must
meet with staff to review the scope and accuracy of the application materials.
The Wednesday, Thursday and the Friday prior to the closing date have
been identified as Filing Meeting dates. Staff will be specifically available
for appointment to meet with applicants and review case applications on
these days.
