Albert L. Scott Library
The mission of the Albert L. Scott Library is to provide excellent library and information resources and services to all the citizens of Alabaster.

Calera Public Library
The Calera Public Library has been serving Calera and Shelby County residents since 1958. Our new library opened in 2007 in the city’s Oliver Park.

Chelsea Public Library
The Chelsea Public Library opened its doors on February 6, 2001 as a branch of the Harrison Regional Library. We were located in the upstairs meeting room of the 1st National Bank of Shelby County for 4 years. In August of 2004 we moved to our current location on the first floor of Chelsea City Hall.

Columbiana Public Library
The Columbiana Public Library has been serving Columbiana and Shelby County residents since 1969. The Library is governed by a five-member library board that is appointed by the mayor and city council.

Shelby County public libraries exist to meet the educational, informational and recreational needs of Shelby County residents.

Helena Public Library
The Jane B. Holmes Public Library in Helena, AL, established in the 1940's, obtained a permanent home at 230 Tucker Road in 1988, with an addition/renovation in 1999. The "neighborhood library" boasts a collection of over 31,000 items, with the largest and most diverse collection of DVDs and music in Shelby County.

North Shelby Library
The North Shelby Library District was created in 1988 by an act of the state legislature and a majority vote of the residents of the district to provide library services to an area of Shelby County.

Parnell Memorial Library
The Montevallo Public Library was founded in March of 1958 under the leadership of the City of Montevallo and the Montevallo Branch of the American Association of University Women.

Pelham Public Library
The Pelham Public Library is a full service library located adjacent to Pelham City Hall. The 12,000 square foot facility occupies two floors with separate departments for children, popular materials, and reference.

Lallouise McGraw Public Library located in Vincent is one of the oldest libraries in Shelby County. The Library’s mission is to provide excellent library and information resources and services to all the citizens of Vincent.

Westover Public Library
Westover Public Library is one of the newest libraries in Shelby County. Located in city hall the library is open to all city residents.

Wilsonville Public Library
Vernice Studenmire Public Library located in Wilsonville has been serving residence since 1942. Mrs. Vernice Stoudenmire has been our librarian for over 40 years.
